4-DAY TARANGIRE & NGORONGORO CRATER WITH MATERUNI WATERFALLS

Upon your arrival you will be picked up and meet your guide from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport, briefing about your 3-day Safari to Tanzania and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha.

If time allows, you can do an Arusha city tour, visiting the famous art gallery (Cultural heritage), local market and Masai market.

Early in the morning around 7:30 you will leave lodge and drive towards Tarangire national park approximately 2 hours driving.

 Tarangire national park is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes; bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife.

After a full day in the park, we will drive to your lodge where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Today, you will start your day early by getting into the safari vehicle at 6:00 am. Your destination is the magnificent Ngorongoro crater, where you will descend with your packed breakfast. This extraordinary place is home of wide variety of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino, which you might fortunate enough to spot. With an expansive area of 260 square kilometres, you will need around 5 to 6 hours to full explore its wonders. After unforgettable experience in the crater, you will make our way back to Arusha. Anticipate reaching town around 5 to 6pm, for evening leisure and overnight.

Today, you will depart at 7:30 a.m. and drive towards the Kilimanjaro region, passing through the scenic Kishumundu villages until you reach the lush highlands of Materuni. From there, you’ll take a 45-minute guided hike to a beautiful waterfall. Afterward, enjoy an authentic coffee-making experience and a taste of local Chagga cuisine.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue to the Chemka Hot Springs, an oasis of crystal-clear, warm water where you can relax and even enjoy a natural pedicure from the playful “doctor fish.” After this refreshing experience, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
